Going potty over poopoo!

Last week we finally bought a potty for the little ger. Have read that it may be too early to potty train rigorously now but have heard anecdotes that if introduced carefully and properly early, there should not be any adverse effects. And in way they may start to associate poo poo with the potty!
On saturday, right after eating her lunch (barley cereal by the way and it’s yummy! mummy licked off every bit that fell off!), Talia ann started to go “ekkkkk!” and showed her “poo poo” face. We scrambled to put her on the potty!
errr…what is this pink thingy i am sitting on?
huh! it’s a potty? and i am supposed to poo in it?
err…nothing yet leh! let me try to blow bubbles and stamp my feet! maybe it will come out soon!

I was so excited that she did her first poopoo in the potty only after 15 minutes…so excited that I even took a pic of the poopoo in the potty but I shall spare you the gross details! muahaha!
Sunday we were out the whole day so there was no potty business to be had on that day, but on Monday and Tuesday, she did her poopoo in the potty as well! *BEAMING*

wow….that’s quite an achievement!
My ex-colleague managed to train both her kids (boys) to be off the diaper before turning one…..I found it hard to believe but it was true. When I ask her how she did it, she told me, every time bring the boys to pee after they had their milk….like 20 - 30 mins. Hard work but it seems to have paid off, she saved lots of diaper money!

Wow, well done Talia! Qianyi has no problem doing her pee in the toilet but she just doesn’t like to poo poo in the toilet. I should have trained her when she was younger..haha..

Very nice post. I’m discovering more about training my toddler to use the potty from reading the info on your website, then I’ve ever did from the advice given to me by my own grandma. Hope it’s ok that I share this post on Del.Icio.us?
